We are pleased to announce that Mr. S. M. Mainul Kabir has assumed the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SBAC Bank PLC.

Prior to joining SBAC Bank PLC, Mr. Kabir served as Deputy Managing Director at United Commercial Bank, bringing with him nearly three decades of extensive experience in the banking industry. Throughout his distinguished career, he has worked with several leading private commercial banks in Bangladesh, contributing significantly to their growth and operational excellence.

Mr. Kabir began his banking journey as a Probationary Officer at National Bank PLC. Over the years, he has held key leadership and management positions at Export Import Bank of Bangladesh PLC, Jamuna Bank PLC, Southeast Bank PLC, and Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, gaining broad-based exposure across diverse banking functions.

His professional expertise spans credit risk management, corporate banking, SME and retail banking, international trade finance, branch operations, sustainable and green finance, and centralized credit administration, reflecting a well-rounded and strategic leadership profile.

Academically, Mr. Kabir holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and a Master of Commerce in Finance from the University of Dhaka, followed by an MBA in Management from the same institution. He has also participated in numerous professional development programs, workshops, and seminars both at home and abroad, continuously enhancing his leadership and industry knowledge.
