Prominent and professional banker Mr. Habibur Rahman with years of rewarding multi-dimensional experience in banking has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) & CEO of South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce Bank Limited.

Prior to that, he was serving the bank as an additional managing director.

He has experience working in diverse sectors of banking for over 27 years both at home and abroad. worked in different financial institutions like Bank Indosuez, ANZ Grindlays (Later merged with Standard Chartered), Toronto Dominion (TD), HSBC, City, EBL, and UCB. He has vast expertise in various subjects including, corporate banking, credit policies, credit risk management, procedures, tools, and supervision of portfolio segmentation.

Mr. Rahman completed his Bachelor's and master's in Economics (MSS) from Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, and his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Brussels, Belgium. He also received a degree in Certified Credit Professionals from Omega, USA.

He attended various seminars, workshops, conferences, and training programs on relationship management, risk management, international trade, etc in the USA, Canada, China, India, UAE, Italy, Malaysia, and Srilanka.
